Ryan Gosling makes a thrilling entrance in the brand new trailer for David Leitch’s highly anticipated movie “The Fall Guy.”
Adapted from Glen A. Larson’s popular 1980s TV series of the same name, this action-packed film features Gosling as Colt, a seasoned stuntman on a mission to find a vanished movie star he used to double for. Alongside Gosling, Emily Blunt stars as Jody, his former girlfriend, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson portrays the missing star.

The movie also boasts an impressive supporting cast including Stephanie Hsu (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”), Winston Duke (“Black Panther”), Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”), and Teresa Palmer (“A Discovery of Witches”). Fans were treated to a sneak peek of the film at CinemaCon 2023.
In 2022, producer Kelly McCormick described the film as a heartfelt tribute to the stunt community and the art of filmmaking. He stated, “It’s not only a love letter to the industry, but also an incredibly fun and entertaining experience for the audience.”
The original “The Fall Guy” TV series aired from 1981 to 1986, running for 113 episodes on ABC. It starred Lee Majors as Colt (now played by Gosling) and Heather Thomas as Jody (now portrayed by Blunt). The show followed Colt’s double life as a stuntman by day and a bounty hunter by night, utilizing his impressive car stunt skills to apprehend criminals. Majors is set to make a special appearance in the upcoming movie.
Directed by David Leitch, “The Fall Guy” was written by Drew Pearce and produced by Leitch, Gosling, McCormick, and Guymon Casady for Universal Pictures and 87North Productions. The film was executive produced by Pearce, Larson, Peter Cramer, Cecil O’Connor, Matt Reilly, and Geoff Shaevitz. “The Fall Guy” is scheduled to be released on March 1, 2024.
