An Australian woman has been charged with multiple counts of murder and attempted murder in connection with a suspected case of mushroom poisoning. She was subsequently taken into custody on Thursday, and authorities conducted a search of her home in Leongatha, located 125km (78 miles) southeast of Melbourne. Detectives utilized specialist technology detector dogs trained to locate items like laptops and SIM cards during the search.
In a press conference, Homicide Squad Inspector Dean Thomas emphasized the complexity of the case, describing it as a tragedy that will have long-lasting effects.
