Joe Flacco Throws First Touchdown Pass in September 2022

INGLEWOOD, Calif. – The Cleveland Browns offense got a jolt as Joe Flacco ignited their first drive of the season. Flacco’s 24-yard touchdown pass to running back Jerome Ford helped the Browns take an early 7-0 lead over the Los Angeles Rams.

During the drive, Flacco was on fire, completing 4-of-5 passes for 65 yards. He also came through with a 22-yard strike to Amari Cooper to convert a third-and-14.

This touchdown pass marked Flacco’s first since Week 2 of last year when he was playing for the New York Jets and threw the game-winning score in a 31-30 victory over the Browns.

Flacco, who recently signed with Cleveland, becomes the fourth quarterback to start for the Browns this season, following Deshaun Watson (out for the season with a shoulder injury), rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson (out with a concussion), and PJ Walker (now serving as a backup).
