As reported by the BBC, Rossiya 24, a Russian news channel, has released a trailer featuring Carlson for an upcoming program. The trailer appears to compile various clips of Carlson mentioning “Russia” and “24.” Text displayed onscreen reads: “The distinguished American presenter is taking it to the next level. Here.” Carlson, however, denies any knowledge of it, as he informed the Financial Times via text message, stating, “Of course I’m not hosting a show on Russian television. That’s absurd. Please.”
It is unclear from the recently aired trailer, last seen on Friday, whether the channel plans on repackaging Carlson’s English-language videos that he shares on X or if they have new content in mind. Russian state TV has shown support for Carlson in the past, highlighting his sympathetic commentary on Russia, President Vladimir Putin, and the Ukrainian invasion. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed disappointment over Carlson’s departure from Fox. For the past five years, some of Carlson’s shows have been uploaded to a Russian YouTube channel called KarlsonTV, which has amassed over 1 million subscribers, according to the BBC.
