According to Ukraine’s Air Force spokesperson, Yuriy Ihnat, Russia has likely stockpiled 800 precision-guided missiles in the past eight months. Ihnat reported to Radio NV on Nov. 11 that two and a half months ago, Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) provided information about 600 missiles, with an approximate production capacity of 100 missiles per month. However, the current count now stands at 800 missiles and more, despite a low intensity of missile usage in the last two months. Notably absent during this period were Kh-101 and Kh-555 missiles, as Kalibr and Iskander-K missiles were deployed.
Ihnat also reminded that Russia launched a thousand cruise missiles at Ukraine last year, while stating that the current stockpile is smaller than in the previous year, specifically referring to the precision-guided missiles under discussion.
Andriy Yusov, a HUR representative, confirmed in early September that Russian occupiers are producing dozens of cruise missiles, including the Kalibr, and a smaller number of Iskander-type missiles monthly. According to unnamed officials cited by The New York Times, Russia has managed to increase its missile production despite Western sanctions and export controls, manufacturing more missiles than before launching its full-scale war against Ukraine.
