Samsung has just rolled out the November 2023 security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the United States. The unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 are now receiving the latest security update. Notably, the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 was updated a few days earlier.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 Receive November 2023 Security Update in the US
The new update with firmware version F721U1UES3DWJ1 is currently available for the unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 4 and is compatible with almost all carrier networks in the US. On the other hand, the carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 5 is being updated with the latest software bearing firmware version F946USQS1AWJ7, and is accessible on Comcast, Metro PCS, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile networks in the US.
If you own a Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the US, you can check for the update by going to Settings » Software update and selecting Download and install. Alternatively, you can manually download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it on your device.
This update could potentially be the final minor software update before the anticipated release of the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Both phones have already received the One UI 6.0 beta update, and the stable Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update is expected to be launched before the year’s end.
