According to an article on BuzzFeed News, Hyland admitted that due to her chronic health issues, her memories of filming are limited. Hyland, who was born with kidney dysplasia and underwent multiple kidney transplants, often focused solely on surviving and delivering her lines.
Hyland stated on the podcast’s “Dinner’s On Me” episode, “I was always focused on essentially just surviving and knowing my lines and being there 100% when they yelled action, and then immediately collapsing when they yelled cut.”
During their conversation, Hyland and Ferguson reminisced about filming an episode that involved pushing a car. Hyland revealed that off-camera, she relied on crutches due to a medical issue.
Despite her challenging health condition, Hyland recalled being forced to wear heels for the scene, even though she was in excruciating pain.
