In response to critics questioning Kyiv’s tactics in its counteroffensive against Russia’s invasion, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba strongly defended the actions, stating that such criticism was disrespectful to Ukrainian soldiers and urged them to “shut up.”
“By criticizing the slow pace of the counter-offensive, individuals are essentially disrespecting the brave Ukrainian soldiers who risk their lives daily to liberate and secure Ukrainian territory,” Kuleba said during a press conference at a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Toledo, Spain.
Last week, The New York Times quoted U.S. and other Western officials who claimed that the Ukrainian offensive had limited progress due to the misplacement of troops.
Kuleba, alongside Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares, challenged critics by recommending they visit Ukraine and attempt to liberate even a square centimeter of land themselves.
