The trial before Judge Moody included testimony from Dylan Brandt, one of the transgender youth challenging the ban. Brandt, 17, testified that hormone therapy has had a transformative effect on his life and that the ban would force him to leave the state. Sabrina Jennen, another transgender youth involved in the lawsuit, expressed relief after the ruling. She stated that without the gender-affirming care she has received, she would not be in a stable and thriving mental state.
