An individual was the victim of a stabbing incident that occurred on a Metro A (Blue) Line train near the Southwest Museum Station in Highland Park on Friday.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a report of the stabbing at approximately 12:45 p.m., in the 4500 block of Marmion Way. No details regarding the victim have been provided, aside from being taken to a hospital with an unknown condition.
The suspect, described as a man in his 30s or 40s, was last observed leaving the station on foot and heading northbound. He was carrying a black backpack at the time, according to the police.
Train service was temporarily halted at the station to facilitate the investigation. Metro arranged shuttle buses to transport passengers in the affected area. Normal service resumed prior to 5 p.m.
