Dentist’s Girlfriend Involved in Safari Murder Receives Prison Sentence

The girlfriend of a wealthy dentist and big-game hunter, who was convicted of murdering his wife during an African safari, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for her involvement in an attempted cover-up. Lori Milliron, the girlfriend of Lawrence “Larry” Rudolph, received her sentence on Friday after being found guilty last year of being an accessory to murder, obstruction of a grand jury, and perjury.

Court documents reveal that Milliron lied under oath in her testimony regarding the death of Rudolph’s wife, Bianca Rudolph. The couple had been married for almost 34 years before Bianca’s tragic demise. Throughout their relationship, they frequently went on international hunting trips and were deeply involved in hunting organizations.

Investigators discovered that Bianca Rudolph was fatally shot with a shotgun on October 11, 2016, while she was preparing to return home from Zambia. Initially ruled as an accidental discharge by Zambian authorities, the FBI launched an investigation into her death after a friend suspected foul play.

According to the anonymous friend, who provided information to investigators, Lawrence Rudolph was having an affair and the couple had numerous arguments about money. The friend also disclosed that Rudolph chose to cremate his wife against her wishes due to their respective beliefs.

Though Rudolph denied intending to shoot his wife, prosecutors argued that the crime was premeditated. Furthermore, Rudolph cashed in more than $4.8 million in life insurance following Bianca’s death and subsequently joined his girlfriend, Milliron. Financial records reviewed by federal investigators showed that Rudolph had traveled with Milliron outside the country prior to the shooting.

A former staff member of Rudolph’s dental offices revealed that he had been involved in a 15 to 20-year-long affair with the manager, later identified as Milliron. Rudolph was charged with murder in 2021 and was found guilty last year.

Milliron, on the other hand, was charged with providing false and misleading testimony to a grand jury in January 2022. She lied under oath about cash payments Rudolph made to her and the nature of their relationship. In court, Ana Rudolph, the daughter of Lawrence and Bianca Rudolph, accused Milliron of plotting her mother’s murder.

Milliron and her attorney maintained her innocence and argued that the sentencing was excessive. However, she was ultimately sentenced to 17 years in federal prison and fined $250,000.
