The Latest Additions to Bajaj’s Trademark Vault: Zinger, Bomber, Elixir, and Aura

Bajaj Auto, the Indian powerhouse in the 2W and 3W industry, has successfully trademarked new names for its upcoming line of products. While Bajaj has a history of trademarking names, not all of them come to fruition. However, the company has recently secured some interesting additions to its repertoire.

Exploring Bajaj’s New Trademarked Names and Future Products

The most recent trademarks obtained by Bajaj include Zinger, Bomber, Elixir, and Aura. Along with these, the company has also filed for trademarks such as Neuron, Twinner, Eleganz, Vincent, Darkstar, Racer, Hammer, Swing, Genie, Freerider, Caliber, Pulsar Elan, Pulsar Eleganz, Blade, Technik, Tecnica, Fluir, Fluor, and many more.

Based on Bajaj’s past trademark activities, these new names are expected to remain secured for quite some time. This assumption is supported by Bajaj’s recent announcement of six new Pulsar motorcycles set to launch. These motorcycles will likely carry the Pulsar name, possibly followed by alphanumeric characters rather than words.

It is worth noting that the Chetak, which recently underwent homologation with a hub motor, still retains its original name. Considering this, the newly trademarked names, including Bomber, Zinger, Elixir, Aura, and the various others by Bajaj, may not be utilized in the immediate future. In fact, some of these trademarks are intended to be used in conjunction with other trademarks. Only the name “Zinger” has been challenged, whereas the rest have been accepted and advertised.

What Can We Expect from these New Names?

Bajaj has many exciting plans in the pipeline. The company’s Managing Director, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, has revealed that up to six new Pulsar motorcycles will be launched by the end of this fiscal year. This strategic move aims to assess the growth and profitability of these products by the following year.

One of Bajaj’s key focuses will be the premium category, which has experienced a surge in demand. This category comprises motorcycles with powertrains typically displacing over 200cc and falls within the price range of approximately ₹1.7 lakhs.

In addition to that, the 150cc to 200cc displacement motorcycle segments are of utmost importance. Bajaj’s future endeavors may be primarily concentrated in this space. Furthermore, Bajaj has shared information about an upcoming 100cc CNG motorcycle, anticipated to be launched in 2024 or later.

Furthermore, we can expect to see a Chetak sequel and a range of new e-scooters for partner brands such as KTM and Husqvarna. As for the new names like Zinger, Bomber, Elixir, and Aura, they could represent various possibilities, including a new product like an adventure motorcycle, a larger cruiser, a scrambler, or even a variant of an existing motorcycle. Additionally, these names could be associated with proprietary technology for any current or upcoming products.
