YouTube Demonetization Causes Emotional Reaction in ‘Fresh & Fit’ Host

  • The Fresh & Fit podcast has lost its monetization privileges on YouTube.
  • Myron Gaines, the host, delivered this news to their 1.4 million subscribers on Saturday.
  • Gaines became emotional during the announcement and had to take a brief pause from speaking.

The host of a well-known podcast targeted towards men’s rights emotionally revealed that their show can no longer generate revenue from YouTube ads due to being removed from the partner program.

Myron Gaines, alongside dating coach Walter Weekes, cohosts the show “Fresh & Fit” which focuses on “females, fitness, and finances.” It gained notoriety for its misogynistic content and is associated with the online “manosphere” community that includes creators like Pearl and Andrew Tate.

Collectively, they advocate for a return to a more traditional, conservative lifestyle where women have fewer rights and men hold authority.

Gaines broke down while recounting his interactions with fans and how providing them advice made all the early challenges of starting the podcast worthwhile. Overwhelmed with emotion, he had to momentarily step away.

Gaines is the author of the book “Why Women Deserve Less,” which argues that modern women benefit unfairly from feminism at the expense of men. This theme is commonly explored in the podcast, where Gaines and Weekes often shame and objectify female guests.

Recently, the podcast invited white supremacist Nick Fuentes as a guest, as reported by Media Matters. During the episode, Fuentes referred to women as “baby machines” due to what he perceives as their prioritization of motherhood.

Gaines livestreamed the apparent end of “Fresh & Fit” on Saturday, expressing his shock and delivering the unfortunate news to his followers.

He asked Weekes, “Is this the end bro? Because we got some bad news man.”

Gaines explained that their channel had been removed from the YouTube partner program, which allows creators to monetize their audience and access special features. Weekes added that the Super Chat feature, a way for viewers to donate, was no longer available.

Gaines stated, “So basically, we’re going to figure out what’s going on because we don’t really know all the details. We’re working with YouTube to try to come to a middle ground and, you know, work together and figure this out.”

Although they were not provided a specific reason for YouTube’s decision, Gaines and Weekes speculated that it was due to the controversial and politically incorrect topics covered in “Fresh & Fit” which involve uncomfortable conversations.

When asked about YouTube’s decision, Insider did not receive an immediate response. YouTube often cites violations of its terms of service without providing specific details.

Gaines then appealed to his followers to subscribe to “Fresh & Fit” on Rumble for $5 per month, as running the podcast was financially demanding.

He emphasized, “We need you guys to save us now.”

Gaines later clarified that their motivation was not solely about money.

“What bothers me is if we’re not able to be on YouTube, we might not be able to reach someone who really needs us,” he expressed.

Gaines and Weekes confirmed their intention to continue on Rumble while still posting on YouTube for as long as possible.

“If I have to take a pay cut, I will gladly do that,” said Gaines. “Guys, come on over to Rumble.”

Currently, “Fresh & Fit” has 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube and 242,000 followers on Rumble.
