Disney informed us via email about the delay of our original vacation and offered a generous 50% discount on a future cruise for all affected travelers.
However, there were certain limitations to consider. Firstly, the discount only applied to the individuals named on the original reservations. Consequently, my sister and I qualified for the discount, whereas our parents would have to pay the full price if they joined us. Secondly, we had to embark on the cruise before December 2023.
Initially, my sister and I didn’t believe we could take advantage of this incredible offer. We struggled to find a suitable timeframe that would accommodate both of us, and even with the discount, luxurious destinations like Europe seemed financially out of reach.
However, just a few weeks ago, we decided to make one final effort in searching for cruises departing before the discount deadline. To our delight, we discovered one departing in September, precisely one year after our initial cruise, and we seized the opportunity. The total cost for both of us, which encompasses our accommodation, onboard activities, most meals, beverages, prepaid gratuities, and a vacation protection plan, amounted to $1,800.96.
