‘We are happy to announce your new home’

Paolo Contis and Isko Moreno, the hosts of the revamped “Eat Bulaga,” sent their congratulations to Tito and Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the original Dabarkads for the premiere of their new show on TV5. They celebrated the start of a new era in noontime television. On July 1, TVJ debuted their show “Eat” on TV5, marking a historic moment in noontime TV. At the same time, ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” aired its first episode on GMA Network’s GTV, featuring both Kapamilya and Kapuso stars performing together. During an episode of “Eat Bulaga,” Contis expressed the significance of this day, stating that it was a special day and a new noontime habit on TV. He acknowledged that for many, it may be seen as competition, but for a show like “Eat Bulaga” that has been bringing joy for 44 years, it is not a competition but rather an inspiration. Moreno also congratulated TVJ and the original Dabarkads and compared all the noontime shows to a buffet where viewers have the freedom to choose what they want to watch. He welcomed “It’s Showtime” as their neighbors and referred to them as fellow Kapuso stars. He expressed happiness that people now have more choices in the noontime show scene. He warmly welcomed and congratulated Tito, Vic, and Joey on behalf of their team at “Eat Bulaga.” Moreno vowed that he and his co-hosts would do their best to make the noontime show an afternoon filled with joy and hope. He mentioned that they wanted to be with the viewers every day during lunchtime and provide help and happiness through “Eat Bulaga.” As “It’s Showtime” premiered on GTV, Contis extended a welcome to the ABS-CBN noontime show, calling them their neighbors and considering them as Kapuso. He thanked them for bringing joy and stated that they would continue to bring happiness to viewers. It was announced that “It’s Showtime” previously aired on TV5 before “EAT” took over the timeslot, but Mediaquest denied claims that it was replaced by TVJ’s new show. The media conglomerate hinted at the possible return of the comedy shows “Wow Mali” and “Iskul Bukol” following the signing of TVJ.
