Brothers and best friends, Romulus and Remus, are seeking a forever home in the Salt Lake City area. To encourage their adoption, the Best Friends Animal Society is waiving their adoption fees until the end of the month. Although both cats are under four months old, they have distinct appearances. Romulus is mostly white with black spots, while Remus is black with a small white patch. Despite Remus only having three legs, the shelter assures potential adopters that he is just as agile as other kittens. The surgery for Remus’s injury was covered by the Best Friends Animal Society, and he made a full recovery with the help of his foster family.
According to the shelter, Remus has “extra snuggles and charm” and is described as being gentle and keeping his claws retracted most of the time. He enjoys long lap naps and occasionally engages in playful wrestling matches with his brother Romulus. On the other hand, Romulus is known as a brave boy who gets along well with both dogs and cats. He particularly loves his brother Remus, snuggling with humans, and engaging in playtime activities. The shelter recommends that Romulus be paired with an active companion for play.
In a heartwarming display of brotherly love, Romulus has taken on the role of caretaker for Remus after his injury. The shelter describes Romulus as being gentle while playing and having excellent litter box manners. He is also very sociable with humans.
Both Romulus and Remus were transferred to the Best Friends Animal Society from another shelter in Utah. As part of the “Clear the Shelters” event, their adoption fees will be waived until August 31.
