ORLANDO, Fla. – Authorities have confirmed that professional wrestler Daniel Wheeler, known as Cash Wheeler, was apprehended in Orlando on Friday. The 36-year-old star of All Elite Wrestling had an active warrant for his arrest, issued in response to an incident on July 27. According to court records, Wheeler faces a third-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a firearm.
Specific details of the alleged incident are not available in the court records. However, during his court appearance on Friday, state prosecutors mentioned that it appeared to be related to a road-rage episode where Wheeler “allegedly displayed a handgun to the victim.”
After posting a $2,500 bond, Wheeler was released from custody. Outside the jail, he chose not to respond to reporters’ inquiries and promptly left in his vehicle.
The judge ruled that Wheeler is prohibited from contacting any witnesses or the victim and must surrender any firearms he possesses to the sheriff’s office.
Wheeler, one-half of AEW Tag Team Champions FTR alongside Dax Harwood, is slated to compete at AEW’s All In London event on August 27, held at Wembley Stadium.
FOX 35 reached out to Wheeler regarding his plans for the upcoming event, but he did not provide a response.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) provided the following statement to FOX 35 News regarding Wheeler’s arrest: “AEW is aware of the charge and is closely monitoring the situation. The individual in question is cooperating fully with local authorities,” the statement read.
