Unveiling the Exciting 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance: A Powerful and Updated Model with 831 HP

Mercedes-AMG has released an updated version of the GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe. This refreshed super-sedan now features new front-end styling, a fresh exterior color option, and various minor tweaks. The vehicle is now available for sale in Europe.

The 2024 GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe takes styling inspiration from the new AMG GT Coupe. It showcases a wider and narrower lower grille opening, which gives the previously expansive outboard intakes a sporty and vertical appearance. The GT also boasts newly designed and taller grille, fitted with extra black trim along the bottom, that frames the Multibeam LED main headlights.

The interior updates are minimal. Mercedes has made the electric sunroof and wireless charging pad between the rear seats standard features. The car also boasts an updated MBUX infotainment software, which includes AMG-specific displays with individually configurable functions. Furthermore, a standard Burmester Surround Sound System is available, with an optional upgrade to the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System.

Under the hood, the GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe houses a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, delivering an impressive 831 horsepower (620 kilowatts) and 1,033 pound-feet (1,400 Newton-meters) of torque. This powertrain works in conjunction with the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G nine-speed transmission and the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system.

During its initial release in 2021, Mercedes claimed that the GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe could achieve a top speed of 196 mph and go from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds. The vehicle features AMG high-performance ceramic composite brakes, active rear-axle steering, and AMG Ride Control+ suspension with adaptive damping to ensure optimal control at high speeds.

In terms of exterior options, customers now have the choice to paint the GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe in a new Opalite White Metallic color. However, the wheel and upholstery options remain the same. The updated version of the vehicle is priced starting at 207,708.55 euros in Germany, including VAT ($218,686.99 at the current exchange rate).

Additional options for the GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe include AMG Performance seats, the AMG Aerodynamics package, two AMG Night packages, the AMG Carbon package, and the AMG Chrome package. Customers can also choose the Active Multicontour Seat package and select the Manufaktur Selenite Grey Magno paint.

In May, Mercedes updated the appearance of the GT43 and GT53 variants as well. The automaker incorporated styling cues from the GT63 variant into the lesser models in the lineup.
