How much will it cost?
The over-the-counter spray will be priced at approximately $45 for two doses. However, Emergent has announced that it will reduce the price to $41 for public interest groups, including community organizations and first responders.
The cost of Narcan is significant because most health insurers do not cover it without a prescription. The brand-name, prescription version of Narcan can cost over $130, but it is often covered by insurance.
