According to arrest affidavits obtained by WFOR-TV, Elizabeth Fuster, Labarrius Williams, and Josue Gonzalez, aged 22, 33, and 20 respectively, were arrested on Thursday for organized schemes to defraud.

Law enforcement at MIA was alerted by an airport federal security director about thefts occurring at Checkpoint E, leading to a thorough investigation. Surveillance footage revealed the three TSA agents colluding to distract passengers during security screenings and pilfer money from their luggage.

The detective who reviewed the footage discovered that the three agents not only stole $600 from a passenger’s wallet during one security screening but also engaged in multiple other instances of planned theft.

During questioning at the TSA Command Center, Fuster and Gonzalez admitted their roles in written statements after waiving their rights. Williams, on the other hand, opted not to cooperate and declined to speak, according to WFOR-TV.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) spokesperson informed Insider that they are closely collaborating with the Miami-Dade Police Department to resolve the situation.

“The TSA maintains the highest standards of professionalism and ethics for its Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and has a zero-tolerance policy regarding misconduct in the workplace,” the spokesperson stated. “We conducted a thorough investigation into these allegations of misconduct, presented our findings to MDPD, and are working closely with them. Any employee failing to meet our ethical standards will be held accountable.”
