Troubling Incident Unveiled: Passenger Charged with Harassing Woman During Flight

In a bizarre incident, a man has been accused of stalking a woman in New York using his small airplane. The suspect, Michael Arnold, a 65-year-old from Manchester, New Hampshire, was arrested at the William H. Morse State Airport in Bennington, Vermont. Arnold had been flying his single-engine Cessna 180 from there. This arrest comes after he had been served with a temporary order of protection in May, which explicitly stated that he must refrain from flying any aircraft during the duration of the order. Witnesses claim that Arnold had flown dangerously low over Schuylerville, just days after the court order was issued. In an even more peculiar turn of events, witnesses state that he has even thrown tomatoes out of the windows of his plane. Michael Arnold now faces charges of aggravated stalking, impeding, false information to a police officer, and resisting arrest. He has posted $5,000 bail.

The FBI had informed the police in Albany, New York, about Arnold’s suspected stalking activities in Schuylerville, a town located approximately 30 miles away from the Bennington airport. The investigation had been ongoing for several years, according to Bennington Police Chief Paul Doucette. It was later confirmed that Arnold had been using his airplane to fly between the two locations. The locals were alarmed when Arnold was spotted flying dangerously close over Schuylerville shortly after the court order was issued. Arnold has also been accused of throwing tomatoes out of his plane’s windows. The charges against him include aggravated stalking, impeding, false information to a police officer, and resisting arrest.
