The evaluation took into account various factors, including on-time arrivals, cancellations, flights, meal quality, in-flight entertainment, seat comfort, staff service, and baggage allowances.
Taking the crown as the best international airline is Japan Airlines, with an impressive overall score of 8.28. The Japanese carrier received excellent ratings in meals, seat comfort, staff service, and in-flight entertainment, earning a four out of five. Additionally, it achieved an outstanding 88.36% on-time arrival rate, according to Bounce. Japan Airlines offers numerous direct routes from the United States to key Japanese transportation hubs like Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. Their operations cover 220 destinations and 35 countries for both passenger and cargo services.
Ranked as the second-best international airline in the Bounce 2023 report is Singapore Airlines. It received a score of 7.63 and shared the best cancellation rate, 0.03%, with Iberia Airlines. Singapore Airlines has been previously recognized as Skytrax World’s Best Airline Cabin Crew in addition to achieving the Best Airline title for the fifth time this year and the Best First Class Airline. Skytrax has consistently awarded it a five-star airline status. Singapore Airlines serves over 34 countries.
Securing the third position as the best international airline is Qatar Airways, achieving an overall score of 7.50. With a cancellation rate of just 0.33%, it boasts one of the lowest rates among airlines. Qatar Airways operates flights to more than 150 destinations globally. At the prestigious 2023 World Airline Awards, it not only received the accolade for best business class but also won this award for the tenth time.
