Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Makes Its Long-Awaited Stop at SoFi Stadium

The highly anticipated Taylor Swift mini-residency at SoFi Stadium is set to begin on Thursday, attracting thousands of fans to Inglewood. To avoid traffic and parking issues, transit officials are strongly recommending that people utilize public transportation.

Prior to the start of the Eras Tour shows, a pre-event merchandise sale was held on Wednesday at the stadium, drawing in a large crowd of Swifties. Fans patiently waited for hours to get their hands on tour memorabilia such as T-shirts and sweatshirts. The merchandise sale will continue daily at the Lake Park near SoFi Stadium, with a special sale on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The SoFi leg of the Eras Tour officially kicks off on Thursday night, with additional performances scheduled for Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Tickets for the shows were highly coveted, and stadium officials want to remind the public that only ticketed guests will be granted access to the venue. Those without tickets should not attempt to listen to the music from outside the venue or hope to experience the atmosphere.

According to the stadium’s website, once the show begins, no one will be allowed to remain in the parking lots or outside the stadium. On-site parking is extremely limited, and it is advised that concert-goers purchase parking spots in advance, although many may already be sold out.

To alleviate parking hassles, Metro officials are urging Swift fans to utilize mass transit for transportation to the concerts. Extra bus and train services will be available on show nights to facilitate transportation to and from the stadium.

Fans can take the recently opened Metro K Line to the Downtown Inglewood Station and then hop on a free shuttle bus to SoFi. The shuttle will operate from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. before each show and for 90 minutes after the concert ends. Alternatively, fans can take the E (Expo) Line to the Expo/Crenshaw Station and transfer to the K Line.

For fans coming from the South Bay or other areas, the C (Green) Line can be taken to the Hawthorne/Lennox Station, where a free shuttle will also be provided during the same hours.

Despite a recent incident of violence at the Hawthorne/Lennox Station, both the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles Police Department assure Swift fans that the incident was isolated, and security will be tightened on the train system.

“The department, in collaboration with LA Metro and the Los Angeles Police Department, will enhance law enforcement presence throughout the Metro system to ensure the safety of the public during the Taylor Swift concert series at SoFi Stadium,” stated the sheriff’s department. The LAPD also assures the public that robust security measures will be in place on the transit system.

For out-of-town fans staying at hotels near Los Angeles International Airport, the Metro 117 bus is accessible from multiple stops on Century Boulevard and can be taken to the Century/Yukon station next to the stadium. The bus will continue running until 90 minutes after the concert.

Metro plans to have agency staff, ambassadors, and additional security personnel present at various stations to assist Swift fans who may be unfamiliar with the train system. Additional staff will be available at the Expo/Crenshaw Station (for the E and K lines), the K Line Downtown Inglewood Station, the C Line Norwalk and Hawthorne/Lennox stations, and the Seventh/Metro Center Station downtown, which serves the A (Blue), B (Red), D (Purple), and E lines.
