Taylor Swift and her fans join in celebrating the wedding of Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley

Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley tied the knot on Saturday in New Jersey, surrounded by a star-studded guest list that included Taylor Swift, Zoë Kravitz, Channing Tatum, and Lana del Rey.

The wedding festivities spanned an entire weekend. After hearing that Taylor Swift was in town, thousands of fans gathered outside Antonoff and Qualley’s rehearsal dinner, resulting in a swarm of excitement.

However, some Swifties were critical of the fans who showed up, arguing that Swift deserves to attend a private wedding without being overwhelmed by her adoring crowd.

In response to the frenzy, one person shared on social media, “Can we all collectively agree that if we see ANYONE sharing Taylor’s location ever again, we do not share or repost the images? At this point, it’s not only a matter of safety but also about respecting her privacy. These things shouldn’t have to be explained, but here we are.”

Some fans pointed out that Swift has previously addressed the challenges of fame in her music. In her song “Anti-Hero,” she sings, “I’m a monster on the hill / Too big to hang out, slowly lurching toward your favorite city.”

Additionally, fans shared a diary entry from 2013 that was sold with her “Lover” album in 2019. In the entry, Swift described the feeling of being famous as being “like a tiger in a wildlife enclosure.”

In the diary entry, Swift wrote, “It’s peculiar to me that after all these years, I still get so anxious when I see a group of people staring, amassed outside my house, pointing camera phones up. They could never imagine how much that feels like being hunted. And no matter how big my house is or how many albums I sell, I’m still going to be the rabbit. Because the hunters will always outnumber me.”

As Swift left the rehearsal dinner, she was greeted by a loud chorus of screams from fans. Despite the frenzy, she maintained her composure and politely waved before getting into a black SUV.

Jack Antonoff and Taylor Swift became friends in 2012 and have since collaborated on multiple Grammy-winning albums.

Antonoff and Qualley first appeared together in 2021 and got engaged a year later. Qualley proudly showed off her engagement ring on Instagram, captioning the photo, “Oh I love him!”
