TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays have placed right-hander Erik Swanson on the 15-day injured list due to thoracic spine inflammation, as reported on Sunday.
Swanson, a 29-year-old relief pitcher, last played on Saturday in an 8-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians, where he pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed one hit.
