Surfers Successfully Rescued, Found Unharmed on Surfboards, Following 38 Hours Lost at Sea

After being stranded at sea for 38 hours, four Australian tourists and two Indonesian crew members have been successfully rescued in a remote part of the ocean off the coast of Indonesia. The group, consisting of 17 members including crew members, had embarked on a journey from North Nias to Pinang Island, a renowned surfing destination with stunning beaches, according to a report by NBC News. However, bad weather, including heavy rain, disrupted their plans. One of the boats sought shelter on a different island while the other, a 30-foot wooden vessel carrying four Australian surfers and three Indonesian crew members, continued its journey. The exact circumstances surrounding their ordeal remain unclear. The four surfers, along with two crew members, were found in the sea on their surfboards, but one crew member is still missing. The father of one of the surfers revealed that his son had been on his way to the island to celebrate his 30th birthday with friends.
