Former England captain, David Beckham, attended Inter Miami’s training session on Monday to closely monitor superstar Lionel Messi. The two shared a hug ahead of Messi’s second game with the team tomorrow night.
Messi, 36, joined his new team at the Florida Blue Training Center in Fort Lauderdale. Under the supervision of Miami manager Tata Martino and the coaching staff, Messi participated in conditioning and on-the-ball drills with his teammates. Meanwhile, Beckham, 48, observed the session, sporting a black outfit, sneakers with white socks, and an Inter Miami cap in pink.
In his debut game, Messi showcased his talent with a sensational free kick in stoppage time against La Liga MX side Cruz Azul in the Audi Leagues Cup. Now, Inter Miami faces MLS rivals Atlanta United in their second group stage game of the competition, set to be held at home tomorrow.
