State media reports Ukraine’s largest drone strike on Russian territory in 18 months

In a bold move, the Ukrainian military executed an extensive drone attack on six Russian regions, marking their most substantial incursion into Russian territory in the last 18 months. This striking development was reported by Russian state media.

The drone strikes specifically targeted four regions located south of Moscow, namely Kaluga, Ryazan, Bryansk, and Oryol. In addition, the attack also encompassed the Moscow region itself and the Pskov region near Estonia, a northwestern part of the country.

According to Russian state media, the strike on Pskov resulted in significant damage, specifically at the city’s airport, where four military transport aircraft were destroyed. Local authorities have canceled all flights for Wednesday as they evaluate the extent of the damage caused by the attack.

The mayor of Pskov has officially confirmed that the strike did not result in any casualties, and the fires have been successfully contained.

Notably, Pskov appears to be the only region where the drones managed to inflict damage. Russian officials reported that three drones were shot down over Bryansk, two over Oryol, and one each over Kaluga and Moscow, without causing any harm or destruction in those areas.
