Six individuals wounded while filming stunt scene for upcoming ‘Gladiator’ sequel.

Six crew members have reportedly been injured while filming a stunt scene in Morocco for the upcoming sequel of the Oscar-winning movie, “Gladiator”, directed by Ridley Scott. Paramount Pictures, the studio behind the film, revealed in a statement that the accident occurred during a planned stunt sequence, and that the non-life-threatening injuries were attended to swiftly by the on-site safety and medical services teams. While the four hospitalized crew members are being treated for burn injuries, no cast members were injured during the incident. The original film won five Oscars in 2001, including for best picture, best costume design, best sound, best visual effects, and best actor. Although Russell Crowe will not be returning, the sequel will feature newcomers Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, and Joseph Quinn, as well as the return of Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi to their original roles, with Ridley Scott back in the director’s chair.
