Reported $126 million transfer sees Harry Kane join Bayern Munich

After spending 19 years at Tottenham Hotspur, England captain Harry Kane has made the decision to join German club Bayern Munich. He believes it is the right time to leave his long-time club and embark on a new chapter in his career.

In a heartfelt video posted on social media platforms, Kane expressed his gratitude towards his teammates, coaches, managers, and most importantly, the Tottenham fans. He acknowledged their support throughout his journey and assured them that he gave his all to make them proud.

Explaining his decision to leave just one day before Tottenham’s first Premier League game of the season, Kane stated that he didn’t want the uncertainty of his future to overshadow the upcoming season. He believed it was the right time to take on a new challenge.

Minutes after the video was released, Tottenham announced on their official account that they had reached an agreement with Bayern for Kane’s transfer to the club.

Kane, who has signed a four-year deal with Bayern, leaves Tottenham with a remarkable record of 280 goals in 435 appearances in all competitions, surpassing Tottenham legend Jimmy Greaves’ record last season. He also has an impressive international record, with 58 goals for the England national team in 84 appearances.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy shared that the club had made numerous efforts to extend Kane’s contract, but the player was determined to seek a fresh challenge. Reluctantly, the club agreed to his transfer and expressed gratitude for his contributions to the club’s history.

Levy added that Kane will always be welcomed back to Tottenham and will forever be a cherished member of the Spurs family.
