Report: Sam-Bankman Fried’s Mother Assisted with Crafting ‘Illegal’ Election Tactics in 2020

A groundbreaking report from a right-leaning political research firm reveals that Sam Bankman-Fried’s mother, Barbara Fried, played a pivotal role in shaping the Democratic Party’s successful 2020 election strategy. However, the report suggests that her tactics were illegal.

As the head of Democratic Super PAC Mind the Gap, Fried authored a memo in late 2019 advocating for donations to a 501(c)(3) known as The Voter Registration Project or Everybody Votes, rather than directly to candidates. She argued that focusing on increasing voter registration among Democrats would yield greater results. Her memo highlighted the effectiveness of “non-partisan voter registration” charities, which she claimed were “4 to 10 times more cost-effective” in generating additional Democratic votes.

Recent filings cited by the Capital Research Center indicate that the charity raised an astonishing $190 million. However, unlike political action committees (PACs), charities like Everybody Votes are not required to disclose their donations until several years later due to delays in the IRS’s release of tax records.
