Flight QR579, just 30 minutes away from landing, had to be diverted to Dubai which caused a delay of slightly over an hour in reaching Doha, as confirmed by Flightradar24.
The pilot fell ill while traveling as a passenger on the A350 and was later pronounced dead.
A colleague of the pilot expressed shock at the untimely demise, stating that he was in good physical condition.
