Report: Head of woman discovered in London canal shortly after body parts were found

According to a British court on Friday, a woman’s severed head was discovered in a canal, in the same area where dismembered body parts were found in a suitcase earlier in the week. Arizo Nour, 33, appeared via video link at the Old Bailey, a criminal court in London, charged with the murder of a 57-year-old woman. The victim’s identity cannot be disclosed for legal reasons. Prosecutors revealed that “human body parts” were found in a canal off Bulls Bridge Lane earlier in the week, and a severed head, believed to belong to the same victim, was found in a bag in the canal on Thursday.

In relation to this incident, authorities were alerted on August 6 to a residence where “large quantities of blood” were discovered. Prosecutor Louise Oakley stated in court that the police were called and Nour’s details were circulated as a person of interest. Concerns were raised about the welfare of the deceased, as there had been no contact for 24 hours.

Furthermore, an initial search of the area led to the discovery of a suitcase in the canal, containing human body parts. Nour is currently in police custody with no application for bail made at this time.
