Rep. Elise Stefanik raises $3 million in latest round of fundraising

New York Representative Elise Stefanik has demonstrated her prowess in fundraising, pulling in an impressive $2 million for her own campaign during the second quarter of 2023. In addition to this, she raised $1 million for other candidates and contributed $1 million to the National Republican Congressional Committee, as indicated by election filings. This brings her total fundraising for the year to $5 million, following her success in raising $13.4 million in the 2020 cycle and $9.2 million in 2022, according to the election filings available on Open Secrets.

Stefanik, a strong supporter of former President Trump, expressed her gratitude for the support she received from donors and supporters across Upstate New York and the rest of the country. She recognizes the importance of New York in determining the House Majority in 2025, stating, “New York delivered the Republican Majority in 2022 and will decide the House Majority in 2025.” However, she acknowledges the challenges ahead, emphasizing the relentless nature of the Socialist Democrats and their plans to flood the state with over $100 million in dark money for their campaigns. Stefanik calls on hardworking New Yorkers to unify, dig deep, organize, and vote in the upcoming November elections.

This recent fundraising success comes amid a heated fundraising war between Democrats and Republicans. A GOP strategist noted that New York is the congressional battleground for 2024, with Hakeem Jeffries raising millions in one day and placing County Democrat operatives across the state. On the Republican side, Speaker McCarthy, Chairwoman Stefanik, the NYGOP, and National Republicans are working together to counter the Democrat political and money machine. The strategist anticipates that over $100 million will be raised and spent by both sides in the state.

Despite the average donation amounting to $26, significant figures such as Paul Singer, John Catsimatidis, and Long Island billionaire Andy Sabin have generously contributed to Stefanik’s campaign, recognizing her as the strongest GOP fundraiser in New York political history.

Earlier this year, Stefanik established a “battleground fund” with the aim of boosting Republicans in the traditionally Democratic-leaning Empire State and preserving the gains made in the previous election cycle.
