Pulp and Hoziert Join Glastonbury Lineup for Jaw-dropping Surprise Performances

Glastonbury festivalgoers are in for an unexpected treat, as two renowned musicians are set to perform surprise sets on stage. The full lineup for Glastonbury 2023 was revealed last month, but organizers have kept a few surprises up their sleeves. According to The Sun, legendary Britpop band Pulp will make a grand return to the festival after announcing their reunion this year. They will perform an hour-long set at 6pm on Saturday on the newly named Woodsies stage (previously the John Peel Stage). This will be their first performance together in a decade and their first appearance at Worthy Farm in 13 years.

In addition to Pulp, Irish musician Hozier, currently on his Unreal Unearth album tour, is also set to take the stage at the Woodsies stage. He will perform on Friday at 7.30pm, marking his second appearance at the festival following his 2019 set on the Pyramid Stage. A source revealed to The Sun that Glastonbury always likes to surprise its fans, and this year is no exception. Pulp and Hozier were confirmed to play the festival long ago, but their names were kept under wraps. Since it has been a while since either of them performed at the festival, their sets are expected to be extraordinary.

Another surprise act expected to grace the stage is Foo Fighters. Fans have speculated that they will take over the Pyramid stage after the pseudonym The Churnups appeared on the official line-up. The ChurnUps are scheduled to perform at 6.15pm on Friday, preceding Royal Blood on the Pyramid Stage.

Glastonbury Festival, taking place from June 21-25 at Somerset’s Worthy Farm, will feature a lineup including Queens Of The Stone Age, Skepta, and The Chemical Brothers, alongside the already confirmed headliners Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses, and Elton John.

However, there are doubts surrounding Arctic Monkeys’ performance after they cancelled their Dublin show with just one day’s notice. The band was supposed to perform at Marlay Park in Ireland on Tuesday before their headline set at Glastonbury. Frontman Alex Turner has been diagnosed with acute laryngitis and has been advised by doctors to rest, but the duration of his recovery is unclear. The band apologized to their Irish fans in a statement, assuring them that full refunds would be issued within the next six working days.
