Pokemon Go fans want to see one UI feature’s debut
A post on TheSilphRoad subreddit sparked a discussion about a “Segmented power-up bar well overdue.”
The OP suggested implementing a segmented power-up bar and explained, “They could divide up the semicircular power-up bar into 10 segments to provide a clearer indication of a Pokemon’s progress.”

The discussion highlighted the need for a visible level indicator on the power-up bar, as it currently lacks constant scaling, making it difficult to assess a Pokemon’s progress.
Fans expressed their support for a visible level indicator, with one trainer noting, “A simply visible level would be much better.” Another pointed out the potential challenges of implementing the feature, especially regarding the variable percentage to ‘max’ level based on trainer level.
Given the significance of a Pokemon’s base level, a simple UI change could provide valuable insights into each Pokemon’s standing.
