Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Incident in North Hills, Authorities Confirm

Authorities have identified a pedestrian who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident in the North Hills area over the weekend. In an effort to solve this case, the Los Angeles Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact detectives.

Upon responding to the scene at Parthenia Street and Whitaker Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers discovered the man lying on the roadway near a curb. The victim, identified as Brandon Aguilar, a 37-year-old resident of North Hills, unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

An official statement from the LAPD stated, “Further investigation revealed that the male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, prompting Valley Traffic Detectives to take over the investigation.”

At this time, there is no available information on the suspect or the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident, as stated by the police.

The LAPD is particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was in the area of Parthenia Street and Whitaker Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on August 27th.
