Ramos describes Adams’ remarks as “divisive and xenophobic,” unable to fall asleep due to her excitement about landing a cheap and lazy blow against the potential candidate she wishes to run against.

The reality is that 82% of New Yorkers see the influx of migrants as a problem, with almost 60% believing that New York has already done enough to address it.
It is not xenophobic to worry about the massive budgetary strain caused by the influx. Projected costs are expected to reach $12 billion by the end of fiscal 2025, even if the inflow levels off, which is unlikely to happen.
This budget requirement is equivalent to the combined budgets of the Parks and Sanitation department and the FDNY.
Adams’ responsibility as mayor is to consider the well-being of the entire city and make difficult decisions, rather than governing through Twitter or virtue signaling.
Ramos, on the other hand, has never made any tough calls. She holds a safe Democratic seat in the highest-paid state legislature in the nation, making her unaccountable to anyone.
Democrats’ dominant position in city politics allows her to take extreme and immature positions on migration without facing any consequences of reality.
She, along with other online influencers, cares more about gaining social media clout than addressing the city’s needs and the concerns of the voters.
Other left-wing politicians, such as Queens socialist Tiffany Cabán and City Council member Shahana Hanif, have also criticized Adams’ remarks using exaggerated language.
The migrant crisis in New York is indeed a crisis. It will cost the city billions of dollars and strain its services to the maximum.
This harsh truth remains unchanged, regardless of how many leftists fake righteous anger for the sake of soundbites.
