Rubin will be succeeded by One Medical COO Trent Green.
In an email to staff, Rubin expressed his fondness and appreciation for his former employees, saying, “I have affection, admiration, appreciation, and ambition for each and every one of you.”
Rubin also expressed his excitement for One Medical’s future under the leadership of Trent Green and its integration with Amazon, stating, “Trent is such a highly effective, experienced, and value-driven leader. I am thrilled about the opportunities that lie ahead for One Medical as part of Amazon.”
Amazon’s acquisition of One Medical took place in July 2022, shortly before the discontinuation of its telehealth experiment, Amazon Care. With major ambitions in the healthcare sector, Amazon had previously acquired start-up Pillpack in 2018, which later became Amazon Pharmacy.
One Medical has confirmed Rubin’s departure. Both Amazon and Rubin have not yet responded to requests for comment.
