Kazuya Shibata, a humorous Japanese inventor specializing in “barely useful” devices, has unveiled his latest creation – a waist-worn machine that flaps T-shirts, providing a refreshing breeze on hot days.

This new device, named the “T-shirt Pata Pata,” adds to Kazuya’s collection of over a dozen ingenious gadgets designed to solve peculiar problems.

He excitedly shared a video showcasing the inner workings of the machine on Twitter, but later admitted that the device functioned differently than anticipated, stating that air-conditioned clothes were a better cooling solution.

Despite this, Kazuya proudly named the contraption after the sound of fluttering fabric and demonstrated its outdoor capabilities in a video where he used a magnet to attach the machine to the hem of his shirt.

Kazuya, who portrays himself as a cheerful and eccentric genius, has a repertoire of inventions, including a fully automatic tissue retriever for wet hands, a potato chip lifter to avoid messy hands, and a book that emits light when opened for a magical effect.

He promotes his designs through exaggerated infomercials, like the one for his timer-based snack tin that prevents users from eating when the container decides they’ve had enough.

Kazuya actively seeks suggestions from his followers through a message form on his website, encouraging them to share daily life problems he should address.

As of now, Kazuya has not responded to any requests for comments.
