No Text From Him After Missing Lunch With His Wife

In a tragic turn of events, the lifeless body of a missing German man has been discovered in a chest freezer in Thailand. The BBC reports that Hans-Peter Mack, a 62-year-old individual, was expected to meet his wife for lunch on July 4. Concerned when he failed to appear, she contacted him and received a suspicious text message in response, claiming that he would call her. However, Mack’s wife found this unusual, as he never communicated with her via text during their five years together. Unfortunately, her fears were justified, as Mack’s dismembered body was found on Monday at a residence in the southern city of Nong Prue.

According to the AP, the missing man, who worked as a property broker, was last seen driving his Mercedes sedan, which was discovered abandoned in a Nong Prue parking lot. Investigators suspect that a cleaning solvent was used to sanitize the car’s seats, dashboard, and steering wheel, indicating an intention to destroy evidence. The discovery of Mack’s remains was made possible through the analysis of CCTV footage. In addition to his body, authorities found a cordless chainsaw, hedge clippers, and rolls of plastic at the scene. Furthermore, a significant sum of money had been withdrawn from his bank account.

As reported by the Bangkok Post, three German individuals, a man and two women in their 50s, have been arrested in connection with Mack’s murder. These suspects deny any involvement. Additionally, a fourth suspect, a Pakistani individual with Thai nationality, has also been apprehended. The same source reveals that one of the German suspects, Nicole Frevel, had rented the house where Mack’s remains were found. Another woman allegedly met Mack on July 4 and accompanied him to a villa, where the other suspects were supposedly waiting. According to authorities, Mack was coerced into transferring funds before being slain. (Read more murder stories.)
