“I was on my way to work and hadn’t planned on buying a ticket, but my hand started itching, so I put it in my pocket,” explained Pittman. “My mom always used to say that if your hand is itching, you should put it in your pocket and money will come to you.”
At Waves Mart & Grill, Pittman purchased a Ruby Red 7’s scratch-off ticket, which ended up revealing a $200,000 prize. “Mom is always right, isn’t she?” he exclaimed.
Pittman returned to the store with his winning ticket to have it confirmed by the clerk. “When she saw the amount, her eyes nearly popped out of her head,” Pittman shared.
Excited about his big win, Pittman promptly sent a photo of the ticket to his wife. “She replied with question marks,” he laughed. “I told her to look at the number, and then we switched to a phone call.”
Pittman stated that the majority of his winnings will be put into savings, but he also has plans to purchase a dirt bike.
