Leaving behind his corporate finance career to pursue design, Anghel now creates remarkable one-of-a-kind furniture pieces using wood, metal, and stone. His creations include gravity-defying tables and sculptural works shaped by the strong winds from the nearby sea. Anghel has decided to open his creative campus to the public this summer, allowing visitors to see his latest designs until August 31. With furniture prices ranging from €28,000 to €40,000 and multiple interior design projects underway, Anghel admits he is making more money than he did as a hedge-funder. This work suits Anghel’s active nature, as he appreciates the physical aspect of his craft. In 2019, Anghel took over the former saw mill and other buildings in the area, turning it into a living space for his family and a hub for his creative work. He aims to connect his work with the local community and maintain relationships with the people who have worked on the estate for years. Anghel is passionate about creating a collaborative environment where artists, scientists, ecologists, and designers can come together. He plans to finance this project through an on-site hotel, sales of his work, and investments, including support from his former hedge fund employer.
