Man from Elsinore Facing Charges for Repeatedly Molesting a Child

A 35-year-old man has been charged with a dozen felony offenses after being suspected of sexually assaulting a Lake Elsinore girl multiple times. The arrest of Martin Ancamil from Lake Elsinore was made following an extensive investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Ancamil is facing six counts of forcible lewd acts on a minor, three counts of forced sexual penetration, and one count each of oral copulation of a minor, aggravated sexual assault of a child, and assault with intent to commit mayhem. The charges also include sentence-enhancing allegations of inflicting injuries, targeting a vulnerable victim, and exploiting a position of trust.

Ancamil is currently being held without bail at the Byrd Detention Center and is scheduled to make his initial court appearance at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta.

According to sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Reese, the investigation began when deputies were alerted to a possible “sexual assault on a minor” last month. The authorities conducted the investigation at a residence on Cambern Avenue. Subsequently, detectives collected enough evidence to obtain a warrant for Ancamil’s arrest, and he was apprehended without any issues.

The court documents allege that Ancamil started abusing the girl, referred to as “Jane Doe,” in November 2017. The specific details about the alleged acts and Ancamil’s relationship with the victim have not been disclosed.

It is worth noting that Ancamil does not have any prior felony convictions documented in Riverside County.
