Luxury Riches Stolen by Mall Mob Equipped with Bear Spray

Dozens of individuals wearing masks were captured on video destroying department store display cases and shelving during a chaotic smash-and-grab at a Los Angeles shopping mall. The incident took place at the Nordstrom store in the Westfield Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, approximately 50 men and women dressed in dark clothing and face coverings raided the store around 4 p.m. A security guard who tried to intervene was sprayed with bear spray and treated for injuries. The robbers made off with an estimated $60,000 to $100,000 worth of merchandise and fled in several vehicles, including BMWs, a Lexus, Toyota-style vehicles, and a Chevy Suburban. As of now, no arrests have been made. The LAPD has expressed their commitment to apprehending the culprits and pursuing criminal charges. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass condemned the violence, stating that those responsible must be held accountable. This is not the first time the same Nordstrom store has been targeted by a mob. In the surrounding area, other high-end stores have also reported organized robberies. Just last week, a Yves Saint Laurent store in Glendale was robbed by a similar group of individuals, who managed to escape with around $300,000 worth of merchandise. The shopping complex owner in Glendale is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the apprehension of those involved in the August 8 robbery.
