Long Island Native Patrick Gardner Joins Nets on a Promising Exhibit 10 Deal

The Brooklyn Nets have reached a deal with undrafted rookie free agent Patrick Yousef Gardner, according to reports.

This news was initially reported by Hoopshype and later confirmed by The Post.

Signing a contract with an Exhibit 10 designation, Gardner has the potential to become the starting center for the Long Island Nets in the G-League.

Originally from Merrick, Gardner stands at 6-foot-11 and weighs 245 pounds. He is known as a stretch 5 with limited athleticism and average defense.

Gardner is set to represent Egypt in the FIBA World Cup next month.

During his final year at Marist as a redshirt senior, Gardner averaged 19.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and one block per game. He had shooting percentages of 49.7 overall and 38.3 from beyond the arc.

Despite going undrafted, Gardner had the opportunity to showcase his skills in the Las Vegas Summer League with the Miami Heat, a team known for finding hidden gems among undrafted players.
