Lawsuit Document Alleges Rudy Giuliani’s Use of Homophobic Slur Towards Matt Damon

  • According to his former assistant, Rudy Giuliani, the former Mayor of New York, used a homophobic slur to describe Matt Damon.
  • Additionally, Giuliani mocked Damon’s height, as stated in a court document filed by Noelle Dunphy.
  • Giuliani is currently facing a lawsuit from Dunphy, who accuses him of sexual abuse.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been involved in numerous disputes with political adversaries and celebrities throughout the years. In 2020’s “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” he was even caught on camera with his hand in his pants while interacting with actor Maria Bakalova, who was pretending to be a reporter from Kazakhstan.

Giuliani is currently facing a lawsuit from his former assistant, Noelle Dunphy, who has accused him of sexual abuse.

On Tuesday, Dunphy’s legal team submitted various documents to a Manhattan supreme court, including transcripts of conversations and alleged emails and texts from Giuliani.

In one transcript from 2019, Dunphy claims that during a conversation about celebrities involved in politics, Giuliani used a homophobic slur to refer to “Oppenheimer” star Matt Damon.

According to the transcript, Dunphy asked about Republican celebrities, to which Giuliani replied, “Ain’t too many. Brad — not Brad Pitt. The other guy that looks like him.” When Dunphy mentioned Bradley Cooper, Giuliani responded, “No, the other one. What the hell’s his name?”

Dunphy then reportedly stated that Damon is “very liberal,” to which Giuliani used a homophobic slur to describe the actor.

Matt Damon has been married to his wife, Luciana Barroso, since 2005, and the couple has four daughters.

Giuliani also allegedly made fun of Damon’s height, stating, “Matt Damon is also 5’2. Eyes are blue. Coochie-coochie-coochie-coo.” (According to IMDb, Damon is actually 5 foot 10.)

Neither Giuliani’s attorney nor Damon’s representatives have responded to Insider’s requests for comment.

In 2021, Damon himself admitted to using the same homophobic slur in conversations until his daughter admonished him.

Speaking to the Times of London, he said, “The word that my daughter calls the ‘F-slur for a homosexual’ was commonly used when I was a kid, with a different application. I made a joke, months ago, and got a treatise from my daughter.”

“She left the table. I said, ‘Come on, that’s a joke! I say it in the movie “Stuck on You,”‘” he added. “She went to her room and wrote a very long, beautiful treatise on how that word is dangerous. I said, ‘I retire the F-slur!’ I understood.”
