Due to complaints from other theatergoers about Boebert’s vaping and disruptive behavior, she and her date were asked to leave the show. Surveillance footage even captured them engaging in inappropriate physical contact. As they were leaving, Boebert reportedly exclaimed, “Do you know who I am?”, “I am on the board,” and “I will be contacting the mayor.” (Boebert has since denied the latter statement in an interview with the far-right news network OAN.) Initially, Boebert claimed that she was ejected from the musical for simply enjoying it too much, stating on Twitter, “I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud!” Oddly enough, there is truth in her statement. Denver’s 9News managed to obtain a video of the incident, which clearly shows Boebert partaking in vaping, dancing, and engaging in inappropriate conduct with her companion. The footage also features a pregnant woman behind her who appears to lean forward and request that she stop vaping. However, Boebert refused to comply. Regardless of my belief, it is clear now that my initial statement was inaccurate.”
When interviewed by OAN, Boebert admitted, “I was a little too eccentric. I am known for my animated personality, perhaps excessively animated. I was laughing, singing, genuinely having a great time. I was asked to calm down a bit, which I did, but then I made the mistake of taking a picture.”
