Magee’s journey as a collector began when he attended a toy show and met a man selling Disneyland artifacts. This encounter sparked his interest, and he started collecting Disney items. Over the years, people have approached him with their Disney memorabilia, adding to his collection.
The items up for auction range in size and rarity. They include trading cards, as well as larger items like a 1917 Model T moving van from Disneyland’s original Main Street. One of the most sought-after items is from the Haunted Mansion attraction, including original stretch paintings from the elevator and the famous “doom buggy” vehicle. Prices for the items vary, with some starting as low as $50, while others, like the Dumbo ride vehicle, may reach up to $300,000.
