In her upcoming memoir “Down the Drain,” Julia Fox shared that Kanye West, referred to as “the artist” in the book, had offered to pay for her breast augmentation while they were dating in early 2022.
The Guardian, in an interview with Fox about the memoir, reported that West made the offer during their relationship.
“I’ll get you a boob job if you want,” West told Fox, as stated in The Guardian’s article. However, Fox declined the offer.
West and Fox met at a New Year’s Eve party in 2021 and had a month-long relationship in January 2022. During this time, West was going through a divorce with Kim Kardashian, who was romantically involved with comedian Pete Davidson. The divorce was filled with conflict, with West making negative remarks about Davidson on social media and Kardashian stating in court documents that West’s posts had caused her emotional distress.
In November 2022, Fox posted a TikTok which has since been removed, where she discussed her intention of potentially diverting West’s attention from Kardashian and helping him move on. However, in interviews with Rolling Stone and the Los Angeles Times, both related to her memoir, Fox expressed feeling used and manipulated by West during their relationship, accusing him of treating her like a puppet.
“That’s humiliating. That’s a really shitty position to be in,” Fox told The Guardian, reflecting on her belief that West had employed her against Kardashian.
